About me
I do the majority of the cooking around our place and am always looking for new ideas! I started cooking at 13years of age on a commercial salmon boat. Opening cans and boiling spuds was about all I knew then. My mom gave me lots of tips and I always rocked in Home Ec at school. In the 34 years since, I hope Ive learned a thing or 2 worth sharing. The handsome dogs in my avatar are Sherman and BorBor...They are such a joy

Thanks, Sherman, for your comments on the krumkake recipe - I have to give my youngest daughter credit this time...I told her it was time the "krumkake-making art" be passed down to the next generation and SHE made these today!!! Her grandma (at 89 years of age) is SO proud of her - she did a fantastic job as a first-time krumkake "baker and roller"...a tradition has been passed down - an ethnic recipe carried on...my holiday is now complete! Now you know the secret of my "foodie" name (but I'd venture to guess you already did from your remarks about lutefisk and lefsa!).
