About me
I'm a forty something mother, married with 3 children. I first started learning to cook after I tried to start the kitchen on fire at the age of 4. I grew up with my great grandmother's and grandmother's cooking. My grandmother was the queen of casseroles, but I also learned how to make pie dough and alot of other things from scratch. When I went away to college I became greek orthodox and my godmother was from Egypt so I learned alot about making baklava and a lot of middle eastern dishes. We also have spent many years in a medieveal reenactment group so my recipes tend to be a combination of unusual flavours for most people. You will probably find alot of ingredients listed that most people don't keep in their kitchen on a regular basis such as juniper berries. I'll try to include some regular recipies and because my husband is from west texas, you will find a few southern recipes, especially since the inlaws moved to South Georgia a few years back.
