An all-around family hit! And nearly all the ingredients were fresh from the garden.

I wanted something light for a side salad for my dinner and this was perfect. It has a nice little tangy lemon feel to it. I didn't have any fresh thyme but I have a friend who puts chopped up basil in her green salads so I thought I would give basil a try and I really liked it. I think its a great substitute. I used a honey dijon although I do have real dijon. I just like the honey one better. :) I cut this recipe in half and that is what is shown in the little bowl. I probably did about 1/4 of the salt though. I had enough for tonight and will use the rest tomorrow. Thanks, Softie, for an easy but tasty recipe. :)
I added a couple of pictures and a thread in IMI 5/21/14

Iceland and Japan! Wow, that is so fantastic! No wonder you haven't been around! :) I don't even know if I could find Japanese ingredients where I live. You will have to post some recipes if you can find the time.
Things are going very well for me! There isn't much at all for me to complain about.
I really hope you will pop in more often.

    Hi! I hope you're well!
I made your Roast Chicken Legs W Fresh Herbs again and it turned out great. I posted some photos at the recipe page, as well as a review at I Made It. Suffice it to say I tried to give it another 5, but the recipe page ate my comment as I'd already rated it!
    Kind regards
    Susan

Softi - I've not heard from you in eons. I am so glad you touched base and really glad to know the chicken soup is still a staple in your life. It's a lovely connection. How are you?

softie...you can find it in the refrigerated section of a Japanese grocery like Sunrise or JasMart. It's the color of coral and comes in a glass jar.
I haven't been able to find an online source yet but will update with the info if I do....

***it just occurred to me that one possible substitute would be tarama, which is Greek cod roe. It's not spicy, but a pinch of cayenne would probably compensate. This is available at many supermarkets.

Hey, Softie!! So good to see you. Snow, snow, snow is all I hear about back your way. I won't tell you what our temperatures in Northern California have been lately. You won't speak to me. :-D Not much new here. I have a roommate at the moment - friend of our family without a home due to hard times. But, its given me a big chance to be cooking a lot, though, so I'm loving it! I hope all is well with you, despite the cold and frozen white stuff.

Hi, I have book marked your shrimp scampi for dinner one night this week. It looks fabulous! I've got some asparagus to use...would the flower tops fit in to this recipe if I added? Or better steamed on the side? Also, what is the recipe for the dish on your profile pic? It looks like some type of wonderful custard..Thanks, Kim
