You asked: Has anyone made this? What do you do with it? Do you serve as soup? Help! My answer: Asparagus or any other broth, may in fact be seasoned and eaten as a light soup. Broths, being more substantial that stocks, are usually used to develop sauces. I posted the asparagus broth as a foundation ingredient for my collection of sauces. I have not as yet posted the sauces. They will be posted later on when I have a little more free time.
If you reserved some chopped asparagus tips and added them to the strained both; and then added butter and cream to make a cream soup that you might garnish with cracked black pepper; you would be delightfully pleased with the results.
