About me
I was born and raised in Upstate NY to a French Canadian mom and a dad of Polish decent. Thanks go to my parents who encouraged me to try new foods from the time I started eating table foods. I love cooking, reading recipes, talking about food and eating it too. My friends enjoy eating my cakes, cookies, muffins, quiches and biscotti. My family enjoy the traditional Turkish/Mediterranean/Arab influenced dishes that use fresh produce, grains, meats, fish and natural oils and are SO healthy. I will share some of my family's favorites with you. Afiyet olsun (bon appetit)!

Merhaba,spotthecat ! Nasılsınız ? 'Iyiyim
I lived in Izmir and have been back there once since then and HOPE to take my husband there before I get too old ! As for the origin of my Turkish stew...I HOPE it's Turkish but it could possibly be Greek. All I know is what the title said. ;o)
Allahaismarladik ! :o)

Thanks a lot for the comment on my strawberry charlotte...Welcome to the group.

Hi Spot -- you can serve that sun-dried tomato tapenade on crusty buns (but small bites because it is rich) or even with bread-sticks or celery sticks. Are you a night owl -- or, no! it must be day there isn't it? It's 12:30 here in Canada! X0

Can you not get frozen blueberries?

Sounds delicious but I will use beef for I don't eat lamb.

Turkish Red Lentil Soup
This really sounds good. I have some red lentils in the cupboard I just bought to make another soup recipe, but I think I'll make this instead. Great post! Thanks!
