Hi Squirrel Nut! The Sopa Azteca actually calls for a dried pasilla chile...a large one. You dry roast the chile, this really makes the soup very flavorful, the recipe calls for 1 large, sometimes I add another one! WOW, not really hot, but spicy & delicious. The best chile to use in tortilla soup! ENJOY :)

You are so welcome! Please enjoy the roasted veg broth...I prefer using this as opposed to canned...I try to use veg instead of any meat broths, I think it's just as flavorful, if not more so!

Re the toffee you don't have to add the second layer of chocolate unless you want it really chocolately (is that a word?). It sure beats store bought toffee. Just remember is is low cal low in calories and highly addictive. JJ
