I can cook most things, usually I have success the first time.. if following a recipe (obviously this depends on the quality of the method/description). Sometimes I decide to master a dish, and I will cook it obsessively over and
over til I get it right, changing small details about it each time. I have called myself an Intermediate cook, because in order to be an expert I would need more scientific knowledge IMO. My life basically revolves around food, cooking it, sharing it, eating out. My children (14 and 6) eat everything that is put in front of them, their only dislike is Lentils - crazy if you ask me, as I have a real love of all pulses and beans. I have a repetoire of around 100 dishes I cook regularly, therefore I don't repeat the same meals every week.. unless specifically requested to. I LOVE CHILLIES and all hot food, not so hot it means you can't taste the food, but pretty darned hot!
