About me
I am a full-time mother and housewife. During the day I work part time with my mother's childcare, volunteer at our childrens' school, walk 1 1/2 - 2 hours, clean and make fresh full meals and desserts. My husband and I met in the 6th grade at the same local elementary school that our 2 sons now attend. We were friends for 10 years before we got serious, and now we've been married going on 10 years. We have 2 sons ages 5 and 10. My loves, besides my kids and hubby, are cooking, baking and writing poetry. My goal is to eventually write and publish a cookbook and a book of poetry. I would also like to start my own baking business. I have come a long way from boxed meals. I always wanted to be able to cook and bake like my grandmother. I loved watching her as a child, but I needed a teacher. My hubby taught me a lot of his chef experience, and I have blossomed. Give me an idea and I'll research it and make it. I have also lost more than 70 pounds just by choosing better foods for my family, giving more food variety, exploring new recipes, walking, exercising, drinking more water and eating less quantity. In 2005 I weighed more than 200 pounds. I know it was more than 200, because I stopped looking when the scale hit the 200 mark. I gained the weight by having kids and letting myself go. I hit a point in my life where I made a decision to loose the weight by setting goals in front of me to make myself happier, in turn to make my children happier. I am currently, and proudly, 135 lbs. I have maintained the weight and made myself happier in the process. My children and my husband are both very proud of me, and I can walk down the street without getting winded. My goal was to reach 130 lbs., taking my age into consideration and the ever present baby fat. If you are curious about loosing the weight the right way, without gimics or programs and without pills, I am proof it can be done. I tried pills and watched my friend try almost every program.

Congratulations on your weight loss! I also don't believe in diets, only life style changes- you have to look at it like this or your just going to keep going up and down up and down. Great love story to :)

Love eggnog but the thought of drinking raw eggs is not a favorite of mine, like your recipe since it is cooked some. Great post, will be making this one.
