I haven't done anything with your website yet, except search for soft pretzels. This is a German specialty. Many of the recipes are just for bread cooked in a pretzel shape. Long ago, back east, I used to get them on Saturday morning at the German bake shop. They were precooked in a sort of lye solution, and that's where the special taste came from. Now I see recipes using baking soda to get a similar effect. I'll try it out.
