Hello, thanks for being my cooking buddy and welcome to the foodie family. :o) My hubby is from knoxville. it is just beautiful in that area, but I think ALL of Tennessee is gorgeous. If we were to move to K'ville I would be in the Smokies every weekend. LOL

Tamarra,

Welcome!!! I was born in Madison, grew up in Southern Illinois, and moved back here 9 years ago - so far I love it and have no regrets. A good friend of mine just moved to Seattle. That's now looking pretty good too! But Madison is really becoming immersed in the buy local and sustainable movement right now and it's a pretty exciting time to be here.

I finally made it to Spring Green and Richland Center for the first time this summer (I haven't owned a car for 8 years so am not usually able to drive just for the fun of it. Sometimes I miss that.) Sadly I was there for a wedding so I didn't have time to explore. I checked some of the FM websites and saw Spring Green mentioned a couple of times but the information hadn't been updated since 2000. There is also mention of it on the city's web site, so I assume it's still going but they're missing out of some incredible advertising opportunities (yes, I've been known to seek out the local markets when I'm traveling).

Mmm jalapeno sauce....

Barley Pilaf With Mushroo
Looks good, but would it need more liquid? The usual ratio I've seen is 1:3 barley:broth. (I usually have used barley in soups and am looking to expand my repertoire, so don

Grilled Tilapia With Spin
Very nice combi of flavors...this is also on my list of 'to-do' dishes...maybe this weekend...I'm gonna try pollock though...cheap and in my freezer already...along with some

Grilled Tilapia With Spin
This sounds very good. I am bookmarking it as love Taliapa. I have to admit though that I will probably add some garlic to it as love garlic in spinach. No vampires allowed in
