My daughter's writing exams and they determine which class she'll go to in high school, i.e. clever, average or dumb ass! We worked hard and kept internet to the minimum, now it's wait and see. How have you been?

Are we havin fun yet? Haven't seen you, or a lot of the other thinkin foodies, around much sense the "New and Improved" GR came along. More proof the the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and the KISS principle both still work. Tis sad. Leave a comment, if you're of a mind. RJ

Hay lady. The message board doesn't work anymore. The fudge recipe is the last message I sent you. However, this one also works very well. RJ Disgustingly Rich Brownies Recipe Ingredients • 2 cups sugar • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour • 4 eggs • 3/4 cup cocoa • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract • 2 cubes (1 cup) butter • 1/4 teaspoon salt • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (Optional) • 8 or 9 inch square baking pan Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, smear the inside of the pan with shortening. 2. 2. Melt the butter over a low heat. 3. 3. In a mixing bowl, stir cocoa and sugar together. Then add the melted butter, Stir. 4. 4. Add the eggs and vanilla, and stir again. 5. 5. Last, add the flour and salt, and mix just until it's smooth, and all mixed together. If you're adding walnuts, you add them now. 6. 6. Put the mixture into the pan, spread it out in an even layer. 7. 7. Bake in a 350 degree oven, until you can stick a toothpick in it and pull it out with no batter sticking to it. It should take between 40 and 50 minutes. 8. 8. Let it cool a few minutes.

ZA is South Africa, not an easy one! Exams this side of the ocean and my daughter's had flu as well, so there's been no chance for perving recipes! Charmaine x

Try this. Pretty much foolproof yet very nice, if not world class.

    Foolproof Dark Chocolate Fudge Recipe

3 C semisweet chocolate chips 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk dash salt 1 C chopped walnuts 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt. Remove from heat; stir in walnuts and vanilla. Spread evenly into aluminum foil lined 8 or 9 inch square pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off foil and cut into squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
