About me
I have always loved cooking. I enjoy experimenting with different foods and tastes. I prefer recipes that are quick & easy. I grew up in Las Vegas, but have lived in Dallas for the last 30+ years. I am retired , a Dixieland aficionado, and a former State Fair of Texas ethnic food judge. Enjoying retirement with my lovely wife Marian. We have 6 children, 28 grandchildren and 15 GG children. Nearly all my recipes are my own creation or sometimes an 'improvement' to another's. I love experimenting with cooking and enjoy the company of others who love to cook. I have moved myself from Expert level to Intermediate after looking at several cooking shows on cable TV. I had just assumed that I was Expert level, maybe some day.

Thanks for the 5 on the cornbread. So glad that you enjoyed it!

The cornbread will be great with taco soup! Thanks for checking out!

Hi Texas. Thank you for your comments on the Killer Shrimp. Hope you enjoy :)

Thank you for the comments on my BBQ Ribs! I am curious about your three wrap process. Does the cling wrap shrink enough in the heat to give a tighter seal between the layers of foil? I have never heard of this process. You definitely have my curiosity =)

Thank you, Papajohn - I'll be more then happy to be one of your cooking friends. Loved what you wrote about the way you cook - that's my way of cooking, too. just cannot stand 'adhering' to someone elses recipes:-)and....you have been busey*smile* - i almost envy you all those children, grandchildren and GG children! what joy!
Have a happy day - greetings from Germany

I left you my praises for the Carribean Meatloaf under comments in the recipe. I absolutely "loved" the flavor combination and the sauce is a hit with my family! Very tasty =D!
I hope you do not mind that I added a photo of my results of your meatloaf?
