    All of the ingredients in this recipe appear *essential* (necessitated by the recipe's purposes) except for cottage cheese. What is our reasoning for cottage cheese as opposed to say cream cheese or some other dairy product?

    This is a good recipe. I did not have any sherry so increased the broth to compensate. What was my main problem is the way the ingredients are listed and the instructions. They just do not fall in line in a lot places. There is to much of a chance of missing an ingredient. Speaking of which I read the directions 5 times as I was cooking and again just now. There is no place in the directions saying where to add the dill which is part of the uniqueness of this recipe. I added the dill the same time I did the beef and mushrooms. Next time I may add it with the onions and garlic. Yes I will be making again.

    I don't know why, but this didn't work for me. After 50 minutes the potatoes were done but were not crispy or brown. I also had a hard time getting them off the foil. Luckily, I had deep fried some fish and finished them up in that oil to get them crispy. I put this in IMI on 11/28/14

    Hey, I live in Indiana and always thought that maid rite sandwiches were made using sprite....any thoughts? I'm gonna go ahead and try it tonight!!! Will let you know how it is.
