About me
I've been cooking for my wife on the weekends for over 30 years. Not positive I'm an 'Expert', but have no problem with soufle's or other touchy dishes. Started with Julia Child and Graham Kerr cookbooks! I was born and raised in the Northern Illinois area. My father was Polish and Mother Scotch-Irish from North Carolina. So I carry on the traditions of our Polish meals for Christmas and Easter. I always handmake and smoke Kielbasa for Easter and make a huge batch of Pierogi for Christmas. My wife takes care of the Golabki (cabbage rolls) and makes better Fried Chicken then my mother!
I retired in 2004 and moved to the mountains of Western North Carolina where I'm learning local foods. Pinto beans, Collards Smoked pulled Pork, etc. And now retired I probably cook 4-6 times a week. But Friday has always been PIZZA! From scratch, of course!
