Try this..Instead of bacon, use finely diced, raw pork butt . Instead of shredding potatoes, get an old meat grinder from a resale shop and grind the potatoes and onions.Simmer (very low boil so they don't boil apart) in salted water for about 70 mins (or until they float.) Serve with melted butter and cream. For a great breakfast, slice refrigerated, left-overs like bread slices and fry to crisp in butter and serve with eggs.

Once the balls are done boiling, allow them to cool over night in fridge. Cut into bite size pieces and place into frying pan with approximately 1/4 inch deep pool of milk. Cook on stove with medium heat until milk thickens into creamy sauce, and serve with glob of butter on side of plate for dipping.

Prepare to pass out from the euphoria of the best dish you've ever eaten. Or it's because of eating way more than you physically should have. Either way, this is a must try way to serve Palt (we dropped the "Pite") that will change your life.

Try using half unbleached flour, and half graham flour. You will get maximum taste (and a bit of increase for fibre). Also, purists use salt pork, rather than bacon and add finely chopped onion.

Two will put you on the couch, three will put you to sleep on the couch. FarFar's record was 5 at a sitting...he slept til Sunday, lol
