About me
Born amongst the Appalachian Hill-Folk of Southwest Virginia, I entered the US Army at the tender age of 17 where I remained to complete 23 years of Active duty. I retired from the US Army in Mar 1980 and returned to El Paso, TX where I learned a love for the local "Tex-Mex" cuisine.
Following retirement from the Army, I worked for the Dept, of Defense from 1980 until 1996 when I attended Colorado School of Trades and became a Certified Gunsmith. My hobbies include Hunting, Fishing, and competitive shooting....Muzzle loaders and Flint locks in Particular.
I also "dabble" in cooking, and more often than not, I am the appointed "Chef" in Elk Camp....which includes the added duties of dish washing and clean up!
