Discovered cooking with herbs when I purchased my first house in the middle of Chicago. The next door vacant lot had a history of herbs sprouting forth and I soon became obsessed with identifying and matching recipes to each and every plant. I liked to think about the previous owners and who started the seed or cutting and how it tasted to them. One 85 year old woman in the neighborhood would walk by my urban garden and point out which plants she had given and in what year. My first wintery spring yielded stalks of Red Chard. Lovely. We cooked them like collard greens. One of little patience and busy life, so recipes must be quick. I crave Korean Food - my fridge always has Kimchi & Bean Curd. Happy Eating Y'all!
