About me
I enjoy cooking, recreating dishes I've enjoyed at restaurants, or just rewriting as I go along. One of my favorite cooking utensils is a pencil - I've started writing down my edits as I do them so I can stop trying to figure out what I did that turned out so well. :p Ethnic foods are always on the menu. I cook and eat mostly vegetarian; I have a vegetarian daughter and have gotten pretty good at making vegetarian versions of our favorites. I agree with you on editing the recipe each time. ive learned that too, especially when ive made something up and i think it was so simple i wont forget. those are the ones i really cant remember! this website is a blessing. holly

Re; Simmered Brains- It is real disgusting now, but maybe the garlic you mentioned would fix it it right up? OK I guess not!:)


MINE TOO!!!! From what I've seen on a couple other sites, they need to be boiled hard for at LEAST 15 minutes, drained and dried off, and then proceed with the recipe. I'm gonna try this tonight for supper. DEEP FRIED!!!! Paula Deen and I fry about everything we can---gizzards go without saying!
