Now that I'm an empty nester I have lots of time on my hands to explore and discover new and tasty foods. I wanted to talk cooking and recipes so off to Google I went. When I came across this site I knew I had found a new home.

This is how my old Cajun Maw Maw use to make it. The sugar does not sweeten the recipe. It's a savory gravy.

Filet Mignon With Balsami
I am a sucker for reduction sauces. Not big on the texture of cooked Fillets(except raw)but would love to do this recipe on a Ribeye or good strip steak... I always have red
