About me
I'm a food columnist in upstate NY, originally from Brooklyn, with roots in Italian and Jewish food. Married, with 2 daughters, we all love to cook and eat, especially together, when we can. I have a cookbook published titled, "The Kitchen Chronicles: From the'D' Train to a Dirt Road," which can be found and purchased online (everyone needs at least one). I love taking a standard traditional recipe and tweaking it by adding an unusual ingredient or two. I also love ethnic cuisine such as Vietnamese, Chinese, Asian Indian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, as well as regional American food and street foods. Don't even get me started about Nathan's in Coney Island! I believe food and cooking should be fun, and not fussy and intimidating, and that the kitchen table is the best place to get to know somebody better. Eat and enjoy life!
