Thanks again for your new information addition Yasemin. You made a good research. You know what!Sometimes , I feel guilty that I had posted that Baklawa recipe!! lolll


I understand but i was talking to greeks..because they were saying fylo is greek so baklava is greek

Also if you only lived there and experienced the baklava culture there ..you would then understand what it is and where baklava comes from..I have egyption friends and they call gullac for fillo dough and gullac is turkish gullac,sutlac,bulamac,etc..that was i was saying wich is you said well yourself Baklava is Turkish..but if you dont know all the baklava in turkey how can you determin who does it best?:)
there is 30 different type of baklava in Turkey..and none of is made with raisens.. varm regards

Thanks for the informations!! Fillo dough is the fast way to make a nice Baklawa. Of course if you wanted me to post the original dough that we made in Egypt, I would take 3 or 4 pages to illustrate and write proffessionaly.
