This Heaven on Seven (the original is in the Loop) has a Michigan Avenue address but you get to it through the building's entrance on Rush Street and up the escalator, which also leads to a multiplex cinema. Looking for a good time and N'Awlins cookin'? Heaven on Seven on Rush is a fun place to go for some good Cajun eatin'. If it isn't hot enough, your table has a whole bunch of sauces to spice up your meal. The core menu is long and affordable, but there's also a long list of seafood and other specials (some can be as much as $20). In any case, it's delicious. If you're there with a date, you can share the massive hurricane drink with two straws. Mardi Gras beads dangle from chandeliers, myriad bottles of hot sauce are lined up on tables, and occasional crawfish races add to the riot of this raucous, Louisiana-style restaurant. Chef Jimmy Bannos' food favors flavor over heat: from crawfish egg rolls and Louisiana crab cakes to scrumptious jalapeno cheddar corn muffins. Need to cool off? Try tangy Key lime icebox pie--that and the dark, rich chicory coffee complete the New Orleans experience.
