Maybe it's just because Rockford does not have any other middle eastern restaurants, (that I know of anyway), but even still, this has become one of my all-time favorite eating destinations. I highly recommend the baba gannouj(?),which I believe is a kind of roasted eggplant dip that includes lemon juice and olive oil among other yummy ingredients. The homemade pita bread they serve with it comes out nice and soft and warm and is practically addictive. Also, the lamb kabobs, chicken kabobs, and whole roated chicken is tender, juicy, flavorful and superb. If you're ever around this area, I highly encourage you to stop on by. The small space is a minor downer compared to the quality of the food and the courteous service.

Heavy on the taste buds but easy on the wallet. WOW, this is truly a nice little place. If you're into coffee you must also try the Arabic coffee, it is spiced with cardamom and served sweeten in demitasse cups.
