That's why I love Black Cat's burritos. Protein, veggies and various sauces come alive in this little dive in the small mountain college town of Boone, NC. Their burritos are huge, and come with fresh chips and salsa and some nice shredded cabbage slaw. You can customize your meal, so if you like burritos, just make up your favorite. Or choose from their cleverly-named menu items. I prefer the Thai Me Up, with fresh spinach, sprouts, aromatic rice and peanut sauce--plus your choice of shrimp or tofu. My husbands orders the White Trash, filled with steak and carmelized onions, rice and red beans. The list goes on. Try the Jamaican-themed "Don't be a Jerk", and a "Ragin' Cajun" burrito. The beer selection is great, the atmosphere is eclectic, and the service is fast. Nothing better than loading up an a FRESH burrito and heading out into the cold Boone air!
