Jasonburn (GroupRank 4) Posted 1 year, 6 months ago: I'll start with my home-town favorite, The Bright Star. Folks rave about the red snapper and snapper almondine, but I go for the steak. The Greek-style beef tenderloin is my favorite steak anywhere. It's marinated in lemon, garlic, oregano, and olive oil. Yum!
At lunch, it's the beef tips with Greek potatoes. Start with a cup of gumbo and end with a slice of peanut butter pie.
The menu and presentation are old-fashioned, but it is the oldest restaurant in Alabama (turning 100 in 2007).
