Bodrum is 1 fast ferry away from the Island of Kos, Greece. yet the difference is humongous. In Kos you really get "touristy food" (french fries on anything, hello, since when is french fries greek, doesn't the name explain?).
In Bodrum you get real food in a real every day town for real people. You can turn your yoghurt upside down and it still sticks on your plate. And you get personal service in your hotel during breakfast, not like the buffet style in Greece.
