This is the best place in town to get sushi and other fabulous Japanese cuisine. There is no hibachi here! The cuisine from the kitchen is much more like food my father's (Japanese) mother makes at home! Big variety of udons, donburis, bentos, and specials like hamachi-kama. The sushi bar is incredible. Fish is ALWAYS fresh, and the sushi-chef, Qi, (I know, he's Chinese, but trained by Japanese master sushi-chefs), is so friendly, talented, and creative, I swear his personality enhances my chirashi! He often has special rolls and appetizers to offer. One of my (many) favourties is his Mango Roll. You've got to try it. Also Sushi Umi (as called by customers) has a large alcohol selection - at least 6 or 7 different sakes, shochus, many varieties of beer (Asahi, Sapporo, Kirin, Hotachino, etc.), and a large wine selection, including a Russian River chard.
