Small town pleasure. Local small brewery, varies with the season. Wait staff a bit slow, but it's small town Texas at it's best.

Loved the food, brews and company of all who entered. I travel a lot and can always appreciate a place that presents a genuine welcome mat out to anyone who comes in the door. As soon as we entered we were met by, not only the hostess, but several patrons as well, who engaged us in conversation. It was obvious that "The Duck" is a local watering hole for this Hill Country Town. The small restaurant, converted from a house, retains the compartmental nature and allows for an intimate meal with family or friends. We selected the brew sampler and enjoyed the uniqueness and flavor of each. The food was fresh, not frozen, even the fries and beer battered shrimp, and more than satisfied our appetite. The quirkiness of the menu and genuine friendliness of the staff and patrons will beckon us the next time we are in the San Antonio/Hill Country area.
