Supergrain Cookies With Nuts And Fruit

Yes, the ingredient list is long-winded and rather complex looking, but it’s mostly just the plethora of different grains and seeds that go into these delicious, chewy cookies! The nuts, grains and seeds add a touch of crunch and a whole other texture to the traditional “oatmeal” cookie, not to mention a whack of nutrition! The dough must rest overnight to absorb all the liquid and prevent it from flattening during baking.

Blue Corn Tamales

These were the side for my Dinner Around the World dinner party. They made a beautiful presentation with the mole. They are a little time consuming and I learned a lot making them. My plan was to have these nice little blue tamale packages, filled with poblano, corn and creamy pieces of cheese. The reality was, after 3 hours of cooking, the cheese had melted entirely into the masa. Wasn't planned, but it ended up adding an unexpected creaminess to the tamale and was very good.

Rich Gruyere And Spice Fondue Served In A Roasted Pumpkin

This is one of those Halloween party appetizers that will never get old. Your guests will love its simplicity and, well... its cheesiness. This is just about as good as fondue gets, and is chock-full of wonderful autumn-y flavors. Too good to be believed.......yummm.........
