		<description>I love making these on a cast iron griddle or a cast iron skillet.
It makes all the difference and you can reach those lovely crusty edges around the toast that only cast iron can achieve.
You can use breads with multi-grains, raisins and/or nuts.
This makes the French Toast more nutritional and very tasty.
Fresh bread will absorb the batter more quickly than stale bread.
My formula is 1 egg per each slice of bread.
This way it is very easy to determine the amounts for the recipe.
I usually cook 2 - 3 slices per person, but today I made more.
