Poppyseed - Egg Bagels

The Jewish deli classic hailing from Montreal originally, these bagels have a richness from eggs and a touch of sweet honey to contrast the crunch and bitterness of poppyseeds. Your lox and schmear will feel right at home!
Makes eight 4-oz bagels.

Awesomely Delicious Gf Brownies

made these based on a recipe from Hannah's blog Bittersweet. She's a culinary genious! These brownies are lower-fat, gluten free, vegan and the best fudgy dessert ever! I modified the original recipe slightly, using chocolate chips and peanuts, amongst other things. I can't wait to make this again!

Homemade Khoya For Indian Recipes

When preparing certain Indian sweets, I researched and learned how to make this Indian type of dairy, milk based product , Normally milk is boiled down until all the liquids are evaporated leaving the milk solids intact - a long process. This is a short cut method. Khoya is used in many sweet preparations. It's consistency is similar to a dry ricotta cheese. Others use condensed milk to replace the Khoya but this recipe was closer to the real ingredient and I was satisfied.

I used it in a recipe called Magaj- to be posted soon.

Sourdough Bagels

Again, these are long-rise bagels... the strength of your starter will determine just how fast they poof but 3-4 hours each time is not uncommon! Just make sure that the dough stays covered. Makes 12 3-oz bagels.

Guiltless Eggnog

I love eggnog, but the real stuff is so rich. This is my take on a traditional eggnog that tastes very close the real deal but without all the sugar, fat and calories! The use of instant pudding helps to give it a slightly thick and creamy texture, like regular eggnog. Delicious! (cook time is chill time)
