Gluten Free Flakey Pie Crust

Robert M. Landolphi’s Gluten Free Every Day Cookbook, this recipe should suit all your needs over the coming holiday season.

From pumpkin to pecan, key lime, lemon meringue and even quiche (leaving out the sugar for a savory recipe) – this rice and tapioca flour pie crust will be delicious.
Please note: the recipe does include butter and milk.
This recipe makes one 9 inch pie crust and can easily be doubled (portion into 2 disks for refrigeration).

Super Simple Scones

These scones are so tasty and simple to make. The fruits and nuts are easily changeable. Try them with walnuts and dried cranberry with a little orange zest, or even fresh blueberries with some lemon zest. No need to pay Starbuck's prices when you can do it at home and with such ease. These could also be made very simply, with just some zest or lemon or orange.

Apple Peach And Pear Galette

Taking inspiration from my mom's favourite cookbook and our bible for fall baking - Apples, Peaches and Pears by Elizabeth Baird - I combined the title fruits in a simple whole-wheat pastry crust and baked it to golden perfection. It's the perfect treat for the end of Summer when peaches are in their prime, pears are just starting to emerge and even early apple crops are half decent. Without having to fiddle with a pie pan or a top crust, it's a snap to put together!

Quiche Lorraine

This is my favorite quiche recipe. It is light and custard like. It also has a BIT less fat than those recipes made with cream. I also prefer bacon to ham. Sub any cheese you like too.

Apple Crostata

Really easy, a Barefoot Contessa recipe. Dough is made in the food processor

Crostata is like an open fruit pie and there are many variations, dough pleated, and folded over unbaked apples or fruit . An extra orange glaze and coarse sugar are additions and optional: glaze: just melt a bit of orange marmalade and drizzle over finished crostata. Crostata may be baked round or in pie tins of any shape or with lattice crusts but most are free forms open doughs filled with fruits and are best eaten warm or room temperature and not chilled

Either way when cut, great! Serve with a dollop of whipped cream
Note the several photos all crostatas tthat I have baked
