Chocolate Tree-Baum Kuchen

Baum is German for Tree
My mom use to make a similar tree cake that consisted of many more layers than in this recipe. Each layer was baked and removed and the cooled layers were sandwiched with some kind of pastry cream . When the cake was cut, it was unique to look at and layers resembled the rings of a cut tree .
Many recipes have an apricot of chocloate glaze
This recipe comes from Dr Oetker Baking

Triple - Shot Brownies

These are thin, chewy brownies with three "shots" of extra flavour in them - one of Kahlua, one of espresso, and a healthy addition of "chocolate shot" - the pure chocolate sprinkles you get in higher-end ice cream places and bakeries! The "roux-like" method of making the dough appealed to me - I found it on Vegweb and used it as my base.

scrumptious using ONLY what I had in refrigerator and pantry.
It is SO easy, I am just describing in detail so it seems long.
BTW, JB flipped over this!! :) BTW..change it any way you like
too!

Onion Soup

This is my absolute FAVORITE soup in the whole world. People who do not like French Onion Soup eat this soup and rave about it for years (no kidding). It is not the bland salty mess that most resturants sell as FOS, this is the real deal.

Stuffing Emergency

So I got this whole chicken for $2, but nothing to stuff it with! What's a chef to do? Use random things and mash them all together, of course! This is just another example of taking life's lemons and making a tropical margarita. A wise man once said, "Never let your palate know you're poor!"
