Authentic Joes Special

This is a dish I learned to make about 30 years ago when I was renting from a fellow who had two teenage boys. This man was a former prison guard and one heck of a great cook! This is the authentic S.F. Joe's Special recipe.

Korean Bibim Tacos

This is an easy recipe that takes only a few minutes to prepare and has, I believe, a dynamic twist on the regular Mexican taco. Use Korean BBQ meat as a substitute if you wish.

Yakisoba

This is more or less as authentic a yakisoba dish that I can come up with such as what I used to order in Japan.
It is delicious with the sauce I am posting but there are a couple of bottled brands that are very good. Some of the Japanese bottled fruit sauces are also great substitutes.

Oat Milk

This is an easy and delicious breakfast summer or winter. Very nutritious and anything can be added for flavor. Note: * Depending on where you live, you may want to use spring or bottled water as the chlorine in some areas inhibits the enzymatic process.

Dragon Fortune Eggs

Warning: Consult a licensed physician before using any Chinese herbs such as the ones mentioned here.

This is my version of the Chinese Tea Egg. I have some study as a Chinese herbalist and this is a good opportunity to use various Chinese herbs such as Dong Gui, Ho Shou Wu, Astragulus, Bamboo and many others. I used Dragon's Blood and Orange Peel in this recipe.
Dragon's Blood is hard to find anymore because the powers that be recommend against ingesting it. Therefore, I recommend you substitute a couple threads of saffron for more color.
If you are not sure which herbs to use, various mixtures come already packaged at many Chinese Herbal stores.

Fortuna Okie Burger Stir-fry

This is a recipe that I adapted from an Indonesian friend (Okie) I used to work with about 30 years ago.
He used Indonesian Ketjup and bean sprouts which I highly recommend for a recipe variation!
