Raspberry Meringue Pie - Bars

This desert is more like a pie then anything else with it's thick cookie like crust. which I found in a Taste Of Home contest winning recipe. I used raspberry pie filling instead of apricot and my own meringue recipe. Really any fruit pie filling should work with this recipe as well.

Mediterranean Braised Beef

The original recipe I can't recall where I got it from but I did change the ingredients some so guess it's sort of my recipe now...LOL I didn't have the dates the origingal recipe called for so I used canned prunes instead and added some of the syrup as well.

I also cooked it on top of the stove in a heavy bottomed skillet with a tight fitting dome lid. instead of the oven. It really came out delicious! The meat juicy and it just fell apart when slicing.. And the sauce....Yum Yum!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dunkers

These are my all time favorite chocolate chip cookie. They are actually between Biscotti and a cookie - Nice and crunchy on the outside, softer in the inside. This recipe may look like a lot of work but actually it is easier then it reads. This recipe I've had for a while but don't remember where or who I got it from. The name of the cookies and the ingredients are original I believe..

Dollys Shortbread Cookie Bars

This recipe is a kick off from the old recipe called Hello Dolly Sweet Bars. I use shortbread cookies instead of gram-crackers and add dried cherries. A simple quick dessert that is easily converted back to it's original recipe.

Coconut Chicken With Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

This is a recipe I copied from a website. I did change it a bit to my liking though. If you like coconut shrimp you will like this as well. We love this recipe and it is one of our favorites when we get in the mood for deep fried foods.

Pork Stew And Sage Biscuits

This a really old recipe of my mothers. I changed only the type biscuits used, and instead of making gravy from scratch I used the powdered. Mother didn't have amounts for the seasoning so I just throw some in a little at a time and give it the old taste test.
