Grandma Bettys Gingerbread Cake

I'm not a big fan of cake- I know, I'm weird, but this is soo scrumptious! My Mom makes it best, but it's her Mom's recipe. Tastes heavenly warm or cold. Don't forget the whipped cream!

Whole Grain Pizza Dough

We love to use this dough when we're trying to cut out carbs. It has great elasticity and tastes wonderful! Also great for soft pretzels.

Holly Pasta

My husband's favourite- he named it. The tomatoes burst pleasantly in your mouth, cleansing the palate. The mint balances the heat nicely- don't skimp!!

Crockpot Caramelized Onions

I love caramelized onions! We use them to top steak, burgers, chicken, put them in soups, stews, sauces & casseroules. The only problem is, you're stuck watching the stove for 45 minutes. There are quick fix recipes, but most involve adding sugar, and in my oppinion, are not nearly as good. This is a quick fix you can make and walk away from without adding unnecessary sugar. Finished onions will keep several days in the fridge and freeze well.

Kick Ass Apple Crisp

I love to throw this together as a treat for my husband after a hard day. I never measure, but after a long day of painting yesterday, I made my best batch yet, and am being prodded to write it down to replicate many times to come. The best part was the thick caramel-like sauce the apples made. All measurements are approximate

Mushroom Pizza On The Bbq

Smashed Garlic Potatoes

I first had this dish at Tom Douglas' fabulous 'Lola' in Seattle. It's served there as a side for breakfast, but you could have it with dinner. Great way to use leftover potatoes. This is my recreation. Prep time includes initial cooking and cooling time if not using leftovers.
