Leftover Beef Fat Is For The Birds

Butcher or trim your own beef?? And you do what with that leftover beef fat?? Toss it in the garbage?? Cash in the trash. I admit the flavor of meat is in the fat but, from a health perspective, well let someone or something that can use it have it. Birds need energy in the winter and when making beef suet blocks it should be for winter use only as it will go rancid very quickly in warm weather. Beef fat is for the birds. Making your own suet blocks!

Meatball And Avocado Soup

Sorry folks I offended someone so I changed the name to the original title and not the suggested one. Received this email from a friend of mine as whacked as I am when it comes to food and she got t from a friend of hers with the same sense of humor. Have not tried this, looks and sounds great. "Fantastic flavor, mouth feel and depth" is the description she gave me which in her language translates to "you gotta try it and don't be a slob ". On my to do list.

Energy Bars

Why pay $1.19 and up for a tiny energy bar in the store laced with preservatives you can;t pronounce. Received this from a co-worker and carry a few in my briefcase when I get the gnarling munchies. An addition he uses is adding cocoa powder and sprulina on top. Thanks Norm.
