Plum Kuchen

When plums are ripe on the tree, or in the market, this is one recipe to try. We love it in our family.
I have a recipe for Plum Custard Kuchen which is very rich and delish, but also more fattening than this one.

SPICY BAKED SHRIMP

I found this somewhere and scribbled in on the back of an envelope. I have made this many times, especially on New Year's and Super Bowl.
A little messy to eat, but well worth it. I have served it on an oilcloth covered with brown paper, with a bowl of sliced lemons and a whole lot of fresh, crusty French bread, a great salad and LOTS of napkins. Who could ask for anything more.

APPLE SAUSAGE BREAKFAST RING

This was in a Food and Wine mag years and years ago. I usually make it for Christmas brunch, since it can be made ahead and baked while the packages are being opened. Just scramble up enough eggs to fill the center after the ring is baked. Very good

ORIGINAL MAID-RITES COPYCAT

If anyone grew up in the Midwest, you will remember Maid-Rite hamburgers. I believe they cost very little and were very popular. I remember begging my parents to stop and get a Maid-Rite. You could eat about 4 of them at one sitting. I found this recipe on the web somewhere, so I thought I would post it for a little trip down memory lane ( Besides, they are really yummy)
