Cottage Cheese Pastry Dough

This cottage cheese dough is practically no-fail -- forgiving, easy to roll. It shapes and freezes like a dream. The texture is light and flaky and the taste a bit on the tangy side, which lends itself to both sweet and savory fillings. You can freeze the dough or the final product which is what I like to do. Use this for my "Curried Mushroom Turnovers" recipe or use with what ever filling you'd like! Get creative and try mixing in some cheese and herbs to make bread twists! I love this dough and hope you do too!

Curried Mushroom Turnovers

These savory little turnovers are very good!.. They do take a bit of work to make, but they are so worth it!... A special treat for the holidays! I usually make them ahead of time and freeze them (un-baked) in a freezer bags! When company comes over I can grab one from the freezer and I only need to add another 8-10 minutes when frozen to the baking time!
