Chana Magaj - Chickpea Fudge

Indian chickpea fudge. My absolute favourite sweetmeat of all time. Tastes like a rich soft buttery peanut and cardamom shortbread kinda thing. so very good. Once you've made it once or twice, you can adjust the proportions for a crumblier or more solid consistency as you prefer.

Turkish Chickpeas With Beef Stew -etli Nohut

Chickpeas with Meat is a very traditional and common dish in Turkey, especially when it is served with pilaf and pickles. Turkish people just love this dish ...want to use dry chickpeas(garbanzo beans), you ll need to soak the chickpeas in water overnight and then add chickpeas with beef stews while you are cooking, so chickpeas will become tender...we also make with white bean same recipe..like turkish fastfood ..u can fined almost every restaurants in turkey ..

Portuguese Pockets With Sweet Chickpea

Portuguese pockets with sweet chickpea-lemon filling which just melt in your mouth: azevias de grão, a Portuguese Christmas dessert dish.some more information about the filling:
you can serve azevias with chickpea filling, the one I just wrote abozt, but azevias are also eaten with sweet potato (azevias de batata doce),
white beans (azevias de feijão).
if you prefer to make a filling with sweet potato or white beans then just cook those vegetables and add same ingredients as you would add when choosing chickpeas. Just beware cause sweet potato is already a bit sweet. Some recipes omit yolks. Good luck in experimenting.

Chickpea Fried Rice

Chickpeas (also known as Garbanzo beans) are the best. They’re so yummy and an excellent source of dietary (cholesterol lowering) fiber. What I like even more than the good-for-you component is how versatile this legume is. You can add chickpeas to soups, salads, pastas, curries, etc. for an instant meal makeover. And when combined with whole grains such as rice, chickpeas provide fat-free high quality protein and a complete meal.

I made my Chickpea Fried Rice recipe for dinner tonight. I used to make this dish frequently in college because it’s so yummy and affordable. This was my first time making it for Patrick and he really loved it. I served this dish with a side sauteed cauliflower.
