Camp Fire Smoke

This is a fleeting moment of frivolity to enjoy as you search for an inspiration for supper. Or whatever. I took both the poem and the cartoon from the internet, presuming they're both in the public domain. I think they go together well. If you like the poem, Google the author. He was a real life 19th century cowboy turned poet. Lots of great stuff by him. I can't take a lot of poetry, but this reminds me of Robert W. Service. Nostalgic, sometimes goofy, with the type of meter, rhyme, and structure that I can fathom. I like limericks too, but I don't want to discuss the man from Nantucket right now.

Popcorn Stuffed Roast Turkey With Grand Marnier Glaze

This is a delightful dish. The preparation is even more fun in the company of good friends. Assemble all of the ingredients before hand. Make sure the Grand Marnier is slightly heated, as this helps in the glazing. To get best results, use gourmet popping corn -- I like Orville Redenbacher's, as it pops up fluffier.

Gems Home Made Biscuits

Humor is to life what shock absorbers are to a car.
I see by my rating on this one that not everyone has a sense of humor amongst us. That is too bad. We all need to laugh, it is good for ya!!!
