Nanas Easy Play Dough

Remember the Play Dough days? How about making some yourself with your little ones? It’s really easy, and the fun is just beginning! You don’t have to worry if it dries out and you have to toss it ~ no more expensive replacements. You’ll need air-tight containers if you want to store it. I like the little Rubbermaid 1/2 cup and cup sizes. Enjoy! Here’s all there is to it:

Famous Peoples Carrots

This is my approximation of the roasted carrots that were served as part of the meal at Toronto's Famous People Players. The meals there are cooked and served by individuals with physical and mental disabilities - and if you didn't know ahead of time, you could never tell. There's enough liquid in this recipe that it forms a wonderful sauce... perfect for pouring over a salmon steak and rice for dinner.

Football Cheese And OLive Spsread Snack

We're big LSU fans and this is a favorite dip for game day. We don't actually tailgate at the games but often do an alternative type of tailgating here at home with friends and family, lots of good food and plenty of purple and gold spirit!

Boston Pops Martini

This coctail recipe is really a blast and is a Start with a chilled cocktail glass and rub the rim with a lime wedge. (or dip rim in lime juice such as Rose's).
Open a pack of cherry flavored Pop Rocks candy and spread on a small plate or napkin. Press rim of the glass into the candy to coat rim.
In a shaker filled with ice, add cranberry vodka, shake and strain into prepared glass.
Slowly and carefully pour blue curacao in the middle of the glass, allowing it to settle in the glass. You should have two distinct layers
. Add a small splash of lemon/lime soda.

(Recipe courtesy Joe Perdicaro, Zebra Bistro and Wine Bar, Medfield, Ma.)

The Pop Rocks make it pop! Joe Perdicaro of the Zebra Bistro and Wine Bar in Medfield, Ma., developed this red, white and blue cocktail just for FineLiving.com, drawing his inspiration from the nearby Boston Pops and their nationally broadcast 4th of July concert and fireworks show.
