Polly Motzkos Christmas Eve Stew 2009

I realized that after the soup was on the last leg of simmering on the stove, that I stayed with the festive theme of green in the zucchini and the red grape tomatoes…really looked great and tasted even better. I was just cooking with what I had on hand. I would have used the wine called for in the original but I couldn’t get the wine bottle open! So, stew, completely different was born! I served this with my new Italian Cream Biscuits with Mozzarella for my parents who were very appreciative.
Greatly Adapted from Burgundy Beef Stew on BettyCrocker.com website.

You can see the original framework that I created my version from at:

This dish is a really flavorful and colorful stew that features typical stew ingredients as well as not so typical-in the zucchini and grape tomotoes that go into it. Also, by slicing the veggies you cut the time.

With American football in full swing and the professional hockey season beginning this weekend, I wanted to share this cheese dip recipe to serve when your friends come over to watch the games.

The dip has Roquefort, garlic, cheddar, Coke and Tabasco -- you really can’t go wrong!

Pollys Pesto Potatoes

This sounds like an unlikely combination but the two meld together really well. The potatoes are roasted in the oven slowly and the flavors in the pesto come out nicely. I use either small red potatoes or Yukon gold variety potatoes. There’s really nothing to this. I wish I could say it was harder but the results are really great.
I didn't really think about it but I guess this is my ST. PATRICK'S DAY CONTRIBUTION! IT CAN BE SERVED ANY TIME OF THE YEAR AND YOU CAN PLAY AROUND WITH THE VARIATIONS.

Tortellini Chowder

Keeping with truth in advertising, this recipe started life in a Comforts of Home cookbook compiled form Midwest living Magazine. Yes, like everyone else out there I can't leave well enough alone so it is a bit different. Very tasty great chowder ..............on a cold night, I made this when we were experiencing some of those balmy 11F degree heat waves recently.
