Mandarin Surprise

I am awesomely inspired by Asian pastry artists. The cakes are just light and spongy, perfectly sweetened, and ever so moist. More inportantly, it incorporates JELLO, and this is too cool.

Recipe modified from Key Lime Cheesecake by Yasaboga, and by Dewi Anwar.

Ultimate New York Style Cheesecake

This is an oldy but goodie often called McCalls, Supreme, Ultimate, LIndy's, or New York style Cheesecake and various recipes appear over the years , some either using a pastry cookie crust or graham cracker crumbs.
I just made this for New Years with a strawberry topping plus some crushed candied walnuts to add my unique touch. It makes a tall impressive cheese cake. I bypass the crust part. Enjoy and Happy New Year

Carnegie Deli Cheese Cake

The recipe appears on the Carnegi Deli web page and all over the Net

So I researched blogs to see if people made this. Yes it's very good but not like the kind you eat at the deli. I have had the experience to eat there on several occasions on my trip to NYC. and try the cheesecake
From what poster on blogs write, Todd Wilburs secret recipe comes much closer to the original recipe than that on their web page!

By the way, the cheese cake they serve you is giagantic, about 4 inches high , creamy, not overly sweet but dense and just wonderful
The recipe posted below produces an average size and delcious cheesecake. So here is the recipe for your perusal. Look up Todd Wilburs recipe also.

Note: Go to the Carnegie deli Web site and see a photo of the Chef holding the plain cheescake!

Also Thank You and photo credit to James Wu who took photo of the cheescake served at the deli!
