Stir Fryed Cabbage With Italian Sausage

This is a dish my brother and I came up with. By adding some of this and that to. But this is the basic of what we start with. This dish we use with just about anything as a side. With Egg rolls, fried rice, orental noodles, corn pudding, ribs, potato salad.

Thanksgiving Vegetable Medley

When I first started cooking (& it's been awhile ;-)), this was one of my go-to Thanksgiving side dishes. I made one for me, and one to take along. The recipe doubles easily, but watch the cooking time. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of canned soup, bu this is a comfort food dish that I enjoyed. Use the low fat/low sodium healthy soup. I doubled the recipe, mix it up in a dutch oven with a wooden spoon. Your arms will get a workout, but it's an easy dish to prep. Whether you're an old seasoned cook, just starting out, on a budget, or need a take-along dish, this one fits the bill. Years ago, I brought this dish to my friend's knock-your-socks-off cook's home for Thanksgiving. When I helped clean up after dinner, saw the host wrapping up a tiny piece that was left over for herself . She loved the dish, & thought the cauliflower tasted like/was shrimp ;-)

Judys Onion Mushroom Pancetta Quiche

I adapted this recipe from Emeril’s Lagasse Onion, Mushroom, Ham Quiche. I substituted the ham for pancetta and the heavy cream with half and half just to make it a little lighter. It was delicious1 I served it with a salad of mixed greens with light vinaigrette before our main meal. If you try it, I hope you enjoy it.
