Paulettes Slow-cooked Pork Chops Italiano

Paulette’s Slow-cooked Pork Chops Italiano
Paulette Le Pore Motzko Paulettemotzko@yahoo.com
Adapted from Tomato-Sauced Pork Chops, Better Homes & Gardens Simple Slow Cooker Recipes, Copyright 2004
March 1st, 2009

This is a recipe that I adapted from a great cook book of mine, “Better Homes & Garden “Simple Slow Cooker Recipes”, Copyright 2004. I adapted the proportions of ingredients because I made more chops than the original and substituted balsamic vinegar for the original red wine vinegar for a more unique flavor. This is a very easy recipe, but it fills a standard recipe up to the top with this! The tomatoes are really flavorful that are on the chops so you could ladle some of them over let’s say rice or risotto or even green beans! My grandmother made Green Beans Italian Style as I call them and using the chunky tomato marinade would be great on either green beans or sauteed zucchini. Just a few pointers!

Beef Barbecue Lexington-Style

One year a tad back, this recipe traveled from Lexington, Kentucky IN a slow cooker ON the back floor of our friend's car to State College, Pa. That seems a bit extreme just to be part of a Penn State tailgate, doesn't it? No way! It's almost hard to describe the intensity of those times! They were wonderful.

Jamaican Butt Bbq

I have to put up something for the pig eaters. :D So here's my porky response to my vegan kebabs. For those of ya'll not from the South, a Boston Butt is usually cut from the shoulder of the front leg, usually with the bone in. I prefer bone in, but get what you like. No bone will cook faster. If you have the time you can do the entire thing on the grill. I usually transfer to my crockpot after I get a good char on it. I've heard this is really tasty and I usually shred it and serve it with my fennel slaw and grilled pineapple rings for neat twist on the traditional pulled pork sammich. Goes great with sweet potato or plantain fries.
