Super Easy Beer Bread

This is the easiest bread in the world to make. Perfect for collage students, it goes great with chili, soup, stew, as a sandwich bread, or even toasted with butter or cream cheese. The bread often comes out fairly dense since it does not spend any time rising, but it is still quite soft. It makes for nice thick slices that are quite filling.

Different beer's can add different flavors, but they have to be pretty strong. I find a Guinness or another stout make it darker and more flavorful, while flavored beers such as a Honey Brown do add a hint of sweetness to the bread.

Finally, this is a great bread to experiment with. You can add anything to it for amazing combinations! For example, try adding a half a cup of grated strong cheddar, a table spoon of fresh or dried herbs such as dill, some diced apple. My personal favorite is to add four table spoons of liquid honey to a beer bread made with a honey brown beer. It makes for a nice, slightly sweet version that makes a great sandwich.

Chicken And Noodle Soup

A very quick recipe for a delicious soup. Subtitute the peas for broad beans for a more substantial feeling soup, or add 2 medium carrots that have been diced for a little extra.

Very Basic Risotto

The most basic risotto we make for supper. There are lots of ways to liven it up, but even keeping it like this it's tasty with some fresh bread rolls or some cut baguette.
