Apple Cinnamon Tea Bagels

Stuffed full of my home made apple butter, whole wheat flour, a heady dose of cinnamon and even apple-flavoured herbal tea, these chewy bagels are boiled in a honey and apple tea bath and baked in a super-hot oven to crusty perfection. Try them spread with peanut butter for a breakfast on the go! Makes eight 4-oz bagels.

French Gingerbread - Pain Dpices Recipe

I am awe inspired by French cuisines, and when I saw this sweet bread recipe, which reminds me of a fruitcake, I had to add it to my collection.

It comes by way of:

Of course by the kind and gracious Grand Chef Jacques Thorel.

Reuben Biscuits

I picked this one up recently from the King Arthur Flour website. It's an object lesson on how to take something everyone knows (the Reuben Sandwich) and turn it into something even tastier and more fun to eat. It's best to serve these right out of the oven, but we had some left over from the last time we had them, so we reheated the leftovers in a toaster oven the next day. They tasted great. And here's a plug for King Arthur Flour: I wouldn't use anything else, ever. Quality control. These little biscuits even work as hot hors d'oeuvres -- just make them a bit smaller.

Hot Spiced Tea Mix Gift

Just another spiced tea mix recipe, but with a bit of brandy for extra warmth. This makes a great gift for any time of the year, but is also great for cold evenings during late fall through the winter. Sweet and tangy, it's just yummy!

Steak With Simple Creamy Pepper Sauce

This is a really, really simple sauce for steaks. It's nice and creamy and the strength of the taste can be lightened or strengthened at any stage in the cooking process. Please leave a comment and rate this recipe if you try it.

London Fog From Starbucks

A friend of mine introduced me to this specialty tea drink several weeks ago, and I was hooked instantly. I've never been that much of a fan of Earl Grey tea, as the bergamot has a strong, dry flavour that curled my tongue a little bit. But once I tried it with a sweet dash of Vanilla in it, the bergamot became a light accent rather than the overpowering taste, and it was suddenly delicious.
