Cranberry Nut Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c sliced cranberries
  • 3/4 c orange juice
  • 3/4 c white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsps baking powder
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c sliced nuts
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Grease one 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Step #3 Combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder & baking soda.
  • Step #4 Add the cranberries & sliced nuts, stir this to coat with flour.
  • Step #5 Combine the egg, oil, orange juice & grated orange peel.
  • Step #6 Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture & stir until just mixd.
  • Step #7 Spoon the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Step #8 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step #9 Let bread sit for 10 mins & then remove this from the pan & place on a cooling rack.
  • Step #10 Let cool completely before slicing.
