Dane Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 eggs .
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • salt .
  • 1 1/2 c flour .
  • 1 1/2 c water

Directions
  • Step #1 In heavy saucepan, heat butter & water over med-low heat until butter melts.
  • Step #2 Remove from heat & stir in the flour.
  • Step #3 Return to med-low heat & cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat & cool.
  • Step #5 Add the eggs, 3 at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Step #6 Stir in a dash of salt.
  • Step #7 Drop dumplings into boiling soup.
  • Step #8 Cook for 10 to 15 mins with lid off.
